I made it to the weekend. WE made it to the weekend.
That was such a long and busy week, that I’ve declared today, Saturday, to be a day of rest. Well, not COMPLETELY. In my normally insane organizational way, I have made out a huge list of chores for the weekend. But these are the normal tasks that have to be done on the weekends. Just maybe a few extra loads of laundry mixed in.
But despite the chores, despite the fact that the washer and dryer are furiously churning away in the other room, this IS a day of rest. Because we’re not going anywhere. Nowhere. And no one is coming here. We’re staying at home, and doing our thing, and being a family. No interruptions.
If all goes well, HC will get some vacuuming done, and a bit of computer gaming mixed in. I’ll get some laundry and dishes washed, and either some computer gaming of my own done, or maybe….maybe…I’ll get to do some scrapbooking.
And DC…well, she might get in some playtime on her play gym, some playtime in her swing with the fishies, and maybe a few bottles and naps thrown in. It’s tough being a baby.
Let’s hope things go well. HC and I need this off day, or we’re going to loose our minds.
