I have a habit of bestowing my own names on things. It’s something my sister and I started doing in college, back when we dubbed someone “Munchichi” because…well, the girl wore her hair like that. What can I say? Even my pseudonym was a nickname for my cat Chalimar.
In the past I liked to add “Cat” on the end of the nicknames. I thought it was cute, and went well with Chalicat. 5 years later…it’s kinda old and tired. So those nicknames will be listed at the bottom. The new way…I’m just using the first initial of the person’s name.
To save time, and clue in the uninitiated, here’s a list of some of my more frequently used terms (In alphabetical order):
D - My Husband
H - My baby girl
C - My sister, though I may just call her “my sister”. We’ll see how that goes.
I’ll add more, as they present themselves.
And the old way….
** Note, the “Cat” on the end keeps the nicknames in line with my name…and yes, they’re also representative of my fanatical love of all things Feline.
BILCat - My brother in-law. (I’m rather proud of that nickname.)
BrotherCat - My brother
DaughterCat - My baby girl. DC for short.
FatherCat - My dad.
HubbyCat - My husband. HC for short
MommaCat - My mom.
SisterCat - My sister
